(Dublin, Ireland, 12 June 2019) Acting Director of the Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency Ms Vesna Marinko, will attend the Annual International Conference organized by Irish Road Safety Authority and the European Transport Safety Council that will take place in Dublin on 13 June 2019. This year’s theme is »International Best Practice in Road Safety Strategy Development«. Ms Liz O’ Donnell, Chairperson of the Irish Road Safety Authority will Address the participants with welcome speech, while Matthew Baldwin, European Coordinator for Road Safety, European Commission will later present the European experience to date with the Safe System.
Acting Director of the Slovenian Traffic Safety Agency Ms Vesna Marinko will actively participate within the Session 3, presenting Measures to improve road safety in Slovenia. Mr Antonio Avenoso, Executive Director of the European Transport Safety Council will present Road Safety Strategies: from current best practice to future synergies. Speakers from a variety of backgrounds including operational, academic and policy development and from across the world will look at international developments and the benefits of a strategic approach to road safety. The speakers will share their expertise and experiences in the development of best practice in road safety strategy formulation and performance measures.
