In Slovenia the following the most problematic areas are present in the sense of the planned and coordinated work: speed, alcohol, safety of pedestrians and use of safety belt. These areas are chosen due to analysis and knowledge of road traffic safety problems.
Speed is, without a doubt, the most common factor and cause of the worst road accidents as well as alcohol. Protection of the most endangered traffic participants (children and pedestrians) requires a special care and the use of the safety belt substantially alleviates the consequences of accidents.
Preventive campaigns are carried out throughout the year.
